Don't Get Your Hair Wet

As summer swimming season approaches my cousin was faced with a problem she has every year. She loves to swim, but hates getting her long wavy hair wet. She has the thickest hair I believe I have ever seen. If she gets it wet, it takes forever to dry, even if she uses a hair dryer. If she chooses to air dry it takes all day. Many times as well when she showers she don't always want to wash her hair. It is a chore for her with that long mane of hers. This always poses a problem with her as well.

Well we have found a solution to this every day problem of hers. It is the Swim On swim cap for long and/or curly hair. It is a extra large swim cap just for the girl with a lot of hair. It is made by Swim On, sold by Top Weekly Deal on Amazon. I got the opportunity to review this item so I grabbed the discount while I could.

When we received it and opened the package, we both laughed a little bit at how large it actually was. I included a picture with a dinner plate sitting on top of it for size reference. It is big!!!! However, if you have hair like my cousins or unruly curly hair then this cap is for you.

The pictures show step by step the process we used to put on the cap. The first picture is of my cousins long beautiful thick hair. In the next picture we put the hair up in a messy top bun. Next to prevent the cap from pulling on the hair we used a wig net (found out this was useful after a lot of hair pulling). This was not included with the cap, however it would have been a nice addition to the cap. We pulled the wig net down over the messy bun. Then after all that we pulled the cap down into place. It was a nice, tight fit that does not let in any water when you are showering (has been too cold to swim). You can pull it down over the ears or leave the ears exposed. If you are swimming you may want to cover the ears to keep water out there too.

My cousin laughed and asked me how she looked. I jokingly told her she looked like a yard gnome. She may not be making any fashion statements with this cap, but hey, at least her hair is dry!!! We had fun making some silly pics. We raised it up to show how much room was still there, then she smooshed it flat, (well as flat as she could) with all that hair. You can pull and tuck it though to look more appealing to the eye. We just thought we would have a little fun with it. But it does work as it is designed and it is a high quality swim cap. If you need one of these for your very own long or curly mane of hair, then click here

I received this product at a deep discount in exchange of an honest and unbiased review. The opinions stated here are 100% my own.
